Our changing planet and global health and food networks present complex challenges for the future.  The UN Food and Agriculture Organisation estimate that 20-40% of the world's harvests are lost to crop pests and diseases.  720, 000 people die each year from mosquito borne diseases with millions more suffering ill health.  Almost  half the planet's population is at risk from infection by soil transmitted  worm parasites with devestating health and socio-economic impact.

This workshop explores the complex global challenges we face, as international experts discuss new solutions combining the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, genetics and clinical studies.
